Released on 5 September 1988, "I Quit" is the fourth single by the band.  The single charted at number 4 on the on the UK offcial charts week commencing 11th September 1988. The single spent an impressive 11 weeks on the chart and sold over 180,000 copies in United Kingdom.

I Quit also found success hitting number 2 on the UK Airplay chart and Number 3 on the UK Netwrok chart. The single also held the number 2 spot on the Irish singles Chart, with sales exceeding 100,000 copies. The song charted in over 20 countries, including Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Australia, and Belgium.

To date, "I Quit has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, thanks in part to the rise of download and streaming platforms.
